Looks better but far less functional

Update: September 15 2015 Its been a while since I looked at this app. I keep hoping the programmers that Speedo has hired will actually consult swimmers and coaches. If I could yell I would "ANY HALF SERIOUS FITNESS SWIMMER AND ANY SWIMMER WHO HAS COMPETED DOES NOT COUNT SWIMS BY LAPS!" Workouts are usually preplanned distances and measured over time of the workout. you have made the app too cumbersome to perform basic functions such as entering swim sets. This app looks cool but form without function is worthless. Also allow users to enter workouts from a desktop or even create a forum where users can share workouts. Have the app load them, let the user select a workout for a date and start time. I could go on. How about go back to pace clubs original design and start over. ORIGINAL RANT Speedo removed the workouts that were in paceclub. This could be a really good training tool if you could input your own training sets. Speedo made a big deal about this new app that replaced paceclub and its a step backwards. So far a real disappointment. Additionally who counts a workout in number of laps? Workouts and sets are always broken down into distance (meters or yards). Like MeetMobile, this update was a real step backwards. Speedo should be embarrassed with this app.

Nice Tool

Useful, motivating aid; updated version very nice; This helps keep you honest with yourself. Know what time you started and when you finished. If you lose count, swim an extra lap

Dates Error

Would have liked this app except that it doesnt record the date correctly. It either adds the data to date before or date after the selected date.

Good basic app

Good but basic, would like to see more flexibility with swims... And generate more competition in the map swim goals... But all in all works fine

Love it

Great app! Hard to figure out at first but once you understand it is amazing! My favorite feature is the goal setting feature when you can set goals to swim places! Love it would totally recommend!

The best app for swimmers!

Needs a little bit more

This app would be five stars if they make it work together with the Apple Watch. The swims you do even though you can look at them in the health kit app, it doesnt count on your workout stats on your watch. Other than that is a great app!!

Really good

I just started using this app, but I can tell its good. Im gonna be training for next swim season all winter and spring, and this will really help me with that. The only thing Id suggest would be a way to record times. there are minutes and hours to record the duration of the swim, but no way to show how fast you swam: if you swam a 50 free in 32 seconds theres no way to show that. So in short: great app that would be better with a way to record times and personal records.

Amazing

I love this app and it makes it easy to keep up with my swims, especially when I need to know what Ive been working on. Thanks so much for adding the kick drill selection! They will make it so much easier on me! One of the things I would suggest is that when we are logging a swim, there would be a button we could tap to choose that this swim was a "Meet." Then, we could put the start of warm-ups and the end of the meet and add all of those swims. It could be able to calculate it so its not thinking we swam really slow. Speaking of meets, being able to record times would be great. Could this app possibly sync with Meet Moblie?

Convenient progress tracking

I love this app. Its great to keep track of my swims and my progress. I also like the suggested workouts, its very convenient to have many options to choose from and have a different swim every time.

Guys... Thanks for the app. Great way to track your swimming activities. Can you for future update add the option to sync with fitbit?

This is my second review; happy to say that recent updates are welcome improvements.

Difficult

Extremely hard to log into - i gave up. Difficult app - i give it 1 str because thats the lowest possible score!!!!

Very difficult to use

First, you must enter distance before you enter sets but even then it only allows you to enter sets half the time. There seems to be some sort of bug that will not let you enter sets or perhaps some arcane combination of pressing buttons in a specific order. Whatever it is, it is painful. Second, it will not let you enter swims that are after the time today - even if you are entering for a previous day. So if I enter time this morning at 7am for a swim Saturday, it has to start before 7am. It assumes you are always entering time immediately after you swim - wet hands and all. Entering for any other time requires careful calibration of both duration (derived on current time and start time which must be before NOW). Once you get a start time set, then you have to adjust duration separately. Do not enter duration first or it will recalculate it. I have only used this two weeks and have not gotten to good parts yet. Still trying to work around the painful entry process.

On the Sign up screen, options are: - Facebook - Email I chose Facebook and the app still asks to provide email and password. Fail!

Mandatory SignUp!?!?

Would have love to give this app a try, but I will not. I will not provide personal info until I can test the functionality of any app. Trial mode would allow a user to test the app without retaining data. If user likes or finds the app useful, would create account anyway.

Not user friendly

Only way to make a change is to delete a swim. When I re-enter it, the swim never shows in my log. The distance appears in the challenges though! Needs work. Im not bothering to use this app anymore.

Fun!

Relatively easy to use. I like the map distance goals. New version allows me to edit. Like the pool find feature.

Mostly satisfied. It is mostly accurate on actual laps swam but doesnt count any laps that are just kicking. You can edit the swim and add the distance kicked. Also the sync with MapMyFitness shows cycling as a run. Im also confused about the activity tag for cycling. I do like the the information on sleep which is mostly accurate.

Not the best app

Not the easiest thing Ive ever used to record fitness. Mostly because it automatically assumes you log swims immediately after getting out of the pool. Other than that its okay, gets the job done
